The smallest sizes in the range, and almost entirely for babies and toddlers rather than older children. Sleepsuits are the largest group, followed by shirt and short sets, baby clothing, bodysuits and bibs. England RFU, Scotland RU, West Ham United, Everton and Liverpool are among those covered, with sizes running from three months upward.

A new baby, or a growing toddler?

Sleepsuits and bodysuits are the newborn gift and the one most often bought for a birth or a christening — they are worn constantly and outgrown quickly, so a size up is rarely wasted. Shirt and short sets are for a toddler who is already walking, and they are the ones that appear in photographs. Bibs are the practical addition nobody thinks to buy and everyone runs out of.

How do the sizes run?

Sizing is by age in months rather than by a numeric scale — 3/6, 6/9, 9/12, 18/23 months and 2/3 years. Babywear sizing is generous rather than exact, so when a baby sits between two, the larger is the safer choice.
