Album artwork or band logo?

Worth knowing which they respond to. Album artwork — Abbey Road, Sgt Pepper, The Wall — reads as a picture and suits framing on a wall. A logo or lips print reads as allegiance and works better on a mug or a badge set someone wears. For an older fan the album prints almost always land better.

Who licenses band merchandise?

The licence comes from the artist or their estate, not the record label, which is why the album sleeves here are reproduced at the correct crop and colour. On framed prints that is the tell: an unofficial copy usually shifts the colour and trims the sleeve.
