For travel or for the gym?

Both work, and the bag suits the second better than most people expect. For an away trip or a tournament weekend it holds a full wash kit; for a gym bag it keeps shower gel away from clean clothes, which is the job nobody buys a bag for until something leaks. It is one of the more genuinely useful club gifts.

Is it waterproof inside?

These have a wipe-clean lining rather than a fully sealed waterproof one, so a spill can be wiped out but a badly closed bottle will still find its way through eventually. Standing bottles upright remains the only real defence.
