Everyday wear or a keepsake?
Both, and they suit different buyers. Sleepsuits and bodysuits are worn hard and washed constantly, so they are the practical gift a parent actually needs. A crested shirt and short set is closer to a keepsake — worn for photographs and a first match, then kept. If you are buying for someone who already has plenty of clothes, the set is the more memorable choice.
Are they comfortable for a baby to sleep in?
Licensed babywear here is cotton-based with printed rather than appliqued crests on sleepwear, so there is nothing rigid against the skin, and poppers rather than buttons at the fastenings. Wash before first wear, as with any new babywear.
