Playing kit or a boxed gift?

The two halves serve different buyers. Goalkeeper gloves are genuine playing equipment, sized by age and hand, and bought by someone who actually keeps goal. Mug and sock sets are a gift format — they arrive boxed, need no wrapping, and are the safe present for someone whose size you do not know, since the socks are one size.

Do goalkeeper gloves come in child sizes?

They do, and the sizing is separate rather than a scaled-down adult glove — the palm grip and finger length are cut for a child's hand. Buying an adult glove for a young keeper is the usual mistake, and it makes catching harder rather than easier.
