The biggest single gift section here, and the most evenly split between football and film. Metal crest or moulded PVC?

The two suit different people. Metal crest keyrings and leather fobs are the adult gift — they carry weight on a keyring and survive years in a pocket. Moulded PVC and spinner keyrings are lighter, brighter and aimed at children or at a bag rather than car keys. The boxed keyring and badge sets sit between the two and are the easiest thing to give without wrapping.

Do small licensed items get the same scrutiny?

They do, and the crest is where it shows. A licensed club keyring reproduces the badge at the correct proportions and colours; unofficial ones drift on the shade and soften the outline, which is obvious once the two are side by side.
